Join the DC Guaranteed Income Coalition in moving the guaranteed income agenda in Washington DC!

We are so grateful for your support in 2023. Poised to enter the new year, we can already feel the chilly winds of potential budget cuts. For example, promised SNAP raises should not be reversed! See the article here. In a city where 14% of residents live below the federal poverty line, we must work together to protect existing programs, while also forging bold new initiatives that will transform systems that burden marginalized communities. For us, a necessary ingredient is guaranteed income in Washington DC.

A regular payment with no work requirements and no strings attached, guaranteed income seeks to lift individuals above a basic income floor. Let’s keep up the fight and accept nothing less than an economy that centers human needs!

As recently shared, registration is open for the January 24 DC Council Business and Economic Development Committee Hearing on the District Child Tax Credit Amendment Act of 2023!  Be sure and testify: We need your voices! Let’s keep building the groundwork for a permanent guaranteed income in Washington DC.
